ORCHID CARE: REPOTTING orchid from Moss to Bark- Part 2.

This is a continuation of the first video. I show you how to repot in the new medium. I have to say this is the first time I have done this type thing and it remains to be seen if this is succesful. I think if the roots are healthy, and you water them so that it is just right, and all factors remaining constant, then it should be successful in maintaing the orchid. Lets see what happens! NEW NOTE AND UPDATE: I did examine the bark the next day and found it to be soggy and too tightly packed so I worried the roots would not air out. So I took it all out and blow dried the bark with my hair dryer( for a few minutes) so the sogginess and wetness was gone, but the absorbed water in the bark remained, and then repotted the plant and watered it after 3-4 days once I saw the roots were quite dry. It worked great! You can see how healthy it has become in my video dated 10th October 2011( 3 New Spikes on 3 Phals). Enjoy….
